Ariana Grande will be telling “The Voice” contestants “Thank U, Next” this fall.
Grande, 27, announced Tuesday on Twitter that she will be joining John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton on the panel for Season 21 of NBC’s popular singing competition show. The “Sweetener” singer will be replacing Nick Jonas, the newest addition to the show.
“surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you,” she wrote, paired with a picture of herself dressed in a floor-length leopard print coat perched on the revolving “I Want You” coach’s chair.
The current season of “The Voice” (Monday 8 p.m. EST/PST), features coaches Clarkson (though she recently had a fill-in after being under the weather), Legend, Shelton and Jonas and is currently in the Battle Round phase of the show.
“I’m so honored and excited to join ‘The Voice’ family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level,” Grande said in a statement announcing her plans to join the show.
