The garden has 7000 rose bushes of more than 550 species. Flowering of these plants begins in April and lasts until October. Half a year you can see what shades these flowers are.
Every year the garden is replenished with new plants, which are sent here from all over the world, including for research purposes, because many varieties of roses are poorly studied or almost forgotten. This is a tradition of the park: it was founded in 1915 as a refuge and testing ground for hybrid roses from Europe.
